Inshore Lifeboat (Annabel E Jones) launched on service to by Falmouth Coastguard to locate, assess and assist a kayaker reported in difficulty on Drakes Island.
As the volunteer crew launched they were stood down as the kayaker had made his own way back to safety with the help of a friend.
On heading to the scene it become apparent the vessel was a racing catamaran with a competent and well equipped crew. Our volunteer crew checked with the crew of the catamaran to ensure all was ok. After the catamaran crew confirmed all was well our volunteer crew stood down.
