All Weather Lifeboat (Sybil Mullen Glover) launched on service by Falmouth Coastguard to locate, assess and assist a sailing vessel reported run aground at Rame Head after a Mayday was reported.
Our volunteer crew arrived on scene to find the casualty onboard the sailing vessel was safe and well. A Police launch and a Boarder Force RHIB attended to check over the casualty.
After an assessment of the situation and casualty safe and well Helm Neil Humphrey made the discussion to tow the casualty vessel back with the inshore lifeboat to the safest nearest port-Mayflower Marina escorted by the all-weather lifeboat.
Both boats and volunteer crew returned to station ready for service 1:10pm
